Finalists selected for EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2023

The finalists of the 2023 EY Entrepreneur Of The 12 months level of competition have been announced.

The 24 shortlisted business people span a range of sectors including technological innovation, producing, healthcare, hospitality, retail, customer merchandise, and engineering.

EY said that collectively the enterprises make yearly revenues of in excess of €700m and hire about 5,000 people.

The finalists are across three types – Rising, Proven and Worldwide – with a particular Sustainability Award presented to the finalist who is creating the biggest contribution towards environmental sustainability by way of their company.

A person all round winner will be selected at a gala awards ceremony which will consider position in November.

Roger Wallace, associate lead at EY for the competition, commented: “We acquired a record amount of nominations for this year’s programme and the optimum at any time quantity of nominations for feminine business people.

“Our finalists appear from various backgrounds and communities throughout Ireland north and south, showcasing the depth of entrepreneurial spirit and talent jogging by means of the island.

“The topic for this year’s programme is ‘The Artwork of Entrepreneurship’. Equally artists and entrepreneurs are creators, considering in another way and bringing new strategies and principles which inspire and challenge. The EOY alumni team welcome and foster that spirit of innovation like no other, collectively impacting the ambition and lifestyle of our island,” Wallace added.

The winner of the 2022 opposition was Martin McKay of Texthelp.
